I know this is not due to be released till the winter - November I think was mentioned.

How soon in advance of game release is it normally known what spec of machine will best play it ?.

I can not help but think my machine will not be good enough.....I'd like to know what we will need for decent MP games.

Do you know how that compares with ntw2 (Rome) ?.

I can play 3v3 games (just) on all the lowest settings.

Well see NTW is the first time i have pkayed online so im not sure how it compares online per say but yesterdays 3v3 for me was the limit for this computer (im in the process of either upgrading or getting a new tower all together cause i just got a new sceen). But i would have to say the jump from RTW to MTWII is enought to notice visible differences in the res. of the troops. If i had to guess, med on RTW is low for MTWII.

Right, I'm also thinking of getting a brand new system, but I'm waiting more for LG than Empire, so I'll see what the spec there is like first.

It would seem that LG (even tho more troops displayed) will need a less powerfull system because of the nature of the graphics - not so good, which don't bother me at all so long as the game play is good, which I'm sure it willbe as it looks to suit my play style a lot more than Empire will.

I wonder if 3v3 in ntw2, will be like 2v2 in Empire ?. - system and speed wise I mean here.

On my old computer with which 3v3 with everything max'd on NTW2 was quite fine (15FPS+) it was unplayably slow (2-5FPS) on M2TW in 1v1 (versus AI).

I'm wondering if my newish rig will even play ETW as its now over 12 months old.

No, I only ever tried the demo....perhaps this is even the source of my problems with it, maybe the full release version was faster? At the time though I remember being pretty disappointed but wasn't interested enough in Medieval warfare to buy a new computer just to play it.

A year ago I bought a new machine but have too little time even to fully enjoy NTW2 and still don't have enough interest in M2TW warfare to spend any time on it.

Regards, M.

How good is that? Fantastic news. You need around about that sort of system to run RTW/NTW2 anyway so this should be possible for almost everyone.

Thanks for posting.
