Histwar: Les Grognards defently doesn't have the best of graphics but the shire number of men is worth it. But what do you prefer. I know Empire wins the contest by miles for looks but just how many people prefer looks over the entire experience of the game!

Sure they could have made things like the panels and menus look better but other then that I really can't wait! It is going to be a tactical experience of a lifetime!

It's not even close - as long as LG is as good as it should be.

To be honest i want both

Off course not possible at the moment.
I love things to look great, it really adds to the whole experience in my view.

But if LG plays fantastically well and is a whole new level of a war gaming experience, then the obviously inferior graphics will not matter a jot

The graphics wont be as good as say Empire, but really, do they need to be ?......I think they will be better than some people are expecting, some think they will be "rubbish"....I don't believe that will be the case.

I'll be totaly shocked if they are not of a good enough standard to enjoy the way it looks and plays.

Refering to the videos the graphics are fully acceptable in my opinion.

Yes, it seems to be good. Its more about stratrgy then looks. Sure in the future they will have both but at the moment its fine! i do prefer things to look good but as the saying goes " You can bake your cake and eat it" Or can you? I just wish the model shapes were a bit "rounder" rather than straight lines but its nt that big a deal. I'm really looking forward to the editors. I just hope my local gaming store will sell it when it comes out!

As an old miniatures player I actually prefer things to look a bit more like model soldiers. I know it sounds crazy but I guess its what you get used to over time. I was more then happy with the models that appeared in NTW2, they are easy to see, easy to differentiate and easy to use. Sometimes, as things get more 'realistic' I find them harder to use in-game.

Regards, Moopere

Evidently, it is for sure everybody prefer the niciest pictures it is possible to look at! For sure nobody will claim the contrary.

But, here we have to chose between quality vs quantity, because for the moment we can't have both.

I see that as you feel a bit guilty to vote for "Over 50,000 ..."

I think I'll go for graphics. Even though LG can support more than 50,000 men; I doubt that will be a common occurrence. I mean, how many people have played an E:TW battle with 50,000 men or a Cossacks 2 game with 64,000?

And from the screenshots I've seen of LG none of them have ever shown and huge number of men. Maybe I'm wrong but I would like to see a screenshot that shows more men than what a normal ETW battle has!
For the record I have played on Cossacks II up to 32,000 men in one battle and for ETW my highest has been around 16,000. Yet the main reason I believe LG has terrible graphics is that it was first started 8 years ago or so! This is a time when RTS and other stratergy games had only been out for a couple of years!

Yet even with the dissapointing graphics, This game is going up to the top of my list. But we shall see after release!

I actually like the models to be a little vague and less detailed to leave a little place to the imagination, i also like the colors to be more earth toned and less cartoonish like in ETW. Like i like most the graphics of TC2M, you can see the units well but not too much detail, the colors are earth toned and not too bright.
That's just me, if you can see every small little detail, then there is nothing to imagine and i am sure they are not getting everything right in their details (i am not sure if i am making my point clear)

Anyway, Gameplay is by far more important than graphics, bad graphics do not ruin the experience half as much as bad gameplay.

Have to agree with VC here, I've always thought this since the home pc was invented, there are some really great old pc games that no one would dream of playing today because of c**p graphics, but the gameplay was fantastic.........put that against brillent graphics and usless game play - like Empire (vanilla) for instance, and it's no competition.

They are both great arguments! Its hard for me to decide on which side to go on! I think I'm leening towards the direction of gameplay over graphics! You're right, gameplays is more important than graphics but I do like good graphic which makes the experience better!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SOOOOO CONFUSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have completely changed my mind from a few months ago when I first posted here, Gameplay is defently more important then graphics, I don't really care to much about the graphics! The graphics are quite acceptable in my opinion (and thats coming from a 14 y.o of the new era where everything is eye candy).

Only a few more days!!!
