Is this something new, I never used to have to log in to read posts, but I do now, is this a new policy ?, is it something we want ?.....maybe a good idea.

Umm. Hmm. Maybe it came with the php upgrade? Not sure. I always log in so I've not ever noticed.

I'm not sure this is the most beneficial behaviour for _reading_ posts as we can't easily redirect casual users to stuff here. Lets look into it after the election this weekend.
