V1.62 of TROM is now available here:

This is a quick compatibility patch to get TROM working again with CA patch 1.5 - NOT FULLY TESTED with the WARPATH CAMPAIGN.

Johan managed to get the first instalment of the Ottoman upgrade included in 1.6:

I recommend the following script (or ModManager):

All of the packs come from trom_core_part_1 or trom_core_part_2 except for trom_media.pack which needs to be downloaded separately (The Rights of Man Optional Media Pack - highly recommended, has period start screens + music)

Pricing still no good for MP at this stage and that is my fault, working on it though, the next update should include sensible pricing.

v1.60 Ottoman Makeover Edition

* Made compatible with ETW v1.4 patch
* Revised Ottoman unit roster
* Adjusted some of the AOR regions (mainly in Balkans area)
* Adjusted unit size of starting units to correspond to actual unit size
* Changed starting units, characters and buildings of Georgia faction to a more Eastern look
* Fixed some inconsistencies in unit campaign map movement
* Bugfix: 24lb Foot Guard Artillery and 18lb Horse Guard Artillery now correctly recruitable by France
* Bugfix: Galleon type ships were missing guns on one side
* Added localisation text for more units from Yarkis' Unit Variety mod
* Temporarily removed Tiyafeh's cavalry and officer animations and the Spontoon mod to ensure compatibility. They will be added back at a later date.
* Updated Blood and Smoke Mod (Light) for compatibility

Special thanks to Yarkis, moopere and Pdguru for their help

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Ottoman Infantry are listed as "Irregulars", even though in reality they were of course regular infantry; this is for internal game mechanics only.
- Ottoman starting unit colour on unit cards is still green, newly recruited units will be correct red
- Spontoon mod and some of Tiyafeh's animations have been removed temporarily to ensure compatibility. They will be added at a later date.
- We are currently using vanilla Campaign AI/diplomacy. Changes will be made, where necessary, in later versions.

Note: 6/10/09 I made mistake earlier today and said TROM Ornamentum doesn't work. In fact it does, but I was having PC problems. So, please use TROM Ornamentum with TROM 1.62 + CA Patch 1.5, its worth it :)

TROM 1.61, quick bugfix patch, has been released. Of note is Lordz maps compatability (most recent Lordz Maps)

Changelog:

* Bugfix: removed unit cap for Cemaat Musketeers
* Bugfix: Dutch Volunteers no longer recruitable by United Provinces
* Bugfix: removed French Republican 3lb horse artillery from early custom battles
* Bugfix: added Grenadiers for minor factions in early custom battles
* Bugfix: corrected range of Azab Skirmishers
* Bugfix: corrected model for Native Indian Cavalry
* Bugfix: corrected text strings for some units in Yarkis' unit variety mod
* Removed "Scares enemies" description since all units have this
* Corrected equipment/animation for units armed with musket and knife (Cazadores, Siberian Hunters, Long Rifle Men) so they actually use their knife in melee

All Mooperes hard work had paid of at last :D
I had downloaded and run Trom with no problems including all the extras, music, media etc.

With me still feeling rough i hadn't started a campaign but was planning on it, anyway the latest ETW patch has killed it.
These Modders must be pulling there hair out :evil:

Righto, the patch 1.5 from CA has for the first time included new maps (yay!!!) - however, this inclusion has broken all third party .loc files which causes the game to CTD when you try to start it (boo!). Should be a relatively straightforward fix for the various mod authors. I'll report back here when things are running again.

Johan of the TROM team has put out a compatibility patch for TROM 1.6x - see the top post for link details. Everything should work as normal with the new 1.62 files. Note that he doesn't guarantee anything with the Warpath campaign, but then I don't think TROM has been tested in the RTI campaigns either - grand campaigns should be fine.

PS - Don't forget, as always, best to do a 'verify game cache' whenever a new CA patch appears. Fixes lots of evils :)
