A reminder AnkLrd, as we discussed in the lobby last night - please only invite FULL NBC members into the NBC group - for now at least.

Good news indeed! The NWG Steam group has grown much faster than my own expectation which is great to see.

Now, if we can just find a way to help all our fellow NWG members actually game with each other that would be a massive benefit. Is there any way to have a 'sticky' post on the NWG Steam groups front page? If so, perhaps we can formulate some easy instructions including the use of the chat room, using the Central Europe server and the word 'NWG' as part of game names...this might help a lot to find the interested Napoleonics players from the mass of indifferent TW players.

Regards, M.

You are totally right. Instead of separate announcements the best way to make this sticky seems to be the "Group Summary Edit". The details you mentioned above can be added there after the description, purpose and the games of nwg.

Ah, yes, thats the ticket. NWG Panel members, presuming this is seen as a decent enough idea, anyone up for doing the change as soon as possible?

Regards, M.

That's good with me, maybe AnkLrd can do it next time he logs in.....IF people start to go to the nwg chat room (assuming they are looking for an MP game) then getting games under way will be a lot easier, BUT, you have to take into account that most nwg's members first stop is to their own Clan sites, to get them away from there, to nwg is not going to be easy - even though they have registered on the nwg site !.

Yes Gunner getting them away from there own sites is the hard part.
You may have noticed an announcement i put on steam, that if there is nothing happening at there own sites, or they are looking for a player or two for a game, to look into NWG chat room.
And a couple of players have done that, but no where near as many as we would hope.

yes Dougiej you are totally right. I am not sure what else can be done, maybe our previous post on http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=230803 will be useful too.
So as we all agree i can make your announcements sticky although the result most probably wont change as you already mentioned.

* It seems that for all of us to be able to join each others games, we need to be using the same regional server so Central Europe has been proposed and with a large player base already, it would seem a sensible choice.
* NWG group chat room may be used to arrange MP battles among the community members.
* It may be a good idea for all members of the nwg and nwg steam group, to show the nwg "tag" at the end of their names. Would be practical while searching community games in the lobby.

Anything you want to edit here? anyway i think all 3 moderators can edit group description now. So you modify that if you like later.

If no one has an objection could we change it :

Quote:
For us to be able to join each others games, we need to be using the same server, most of the old ntw2 Community are using Central Europe now, so that would seem the best choice.

The NWG group chat room may be used to arrange MP battles. It is recommened (but not required) that all members of the nwg steam group show the nwg "tag" at the end of their names. This will help while searching Community games in the lobby and identify us as an "organised" group.

It is almost the same, but a bit shorter - which always helps !.

And once we've had a bit of a chat about the favoured rules we can plonk a link from Steam to these forums with a sticky post on the currently 'in favour' rules system. This should hopefully help us all out a -lot-!!

M.
