Nixter, Wellington, who are these guys ?......I don't re-call anything from them for months.....

I don't know who did what in the Lordz but the question is what happens to these type of things when people fade away ?. Are the Lordz the Lordz forever even if there not doing anything ?. What happens to the Lordz site ?.

As far as I'm concerned if they can not bother to let the Community, they did all this work for, know what they intend to do, or not do, then they leave things open for others to take over the ntw2 work and abandon the Lordz site altoghter, which is what is starting to happen - slowly.

At least some of these MIA Lordz were actually involved inthe most recent patch. Looks like a token involvement, but they did do real work so that why I didn't want to dismiss them entirely......are they now gone for good? I don't know, you'd expect one of the ancient Lordz to have something to say about that wouldn't you?

Stick around, it will probably arrive sooner or later.

Hello,

I've not been around since the beginning but I have been around enough to at least get an inkling of what goes on in the past and future.

First of all, please recall that the work done is done by people who have lives and all of the issues that go with them. Working on a mod is fun, but after a while you either grow tired of it or it stops, it is "completed". You can only work on a mod so much before any more work would create overkill and ruin your painting.

NTW2 was always a growing thing from the get-go, at least as far as I know. (I wasn't a fully Lord yet with any real modding duties, I cleaned the site forums up and got ocffee for all of the bigwigs.) Each release was made with the intention of another faction or two. That's what we continued to do when the newer non-LGS Lordz took over. Tim said it was done when he wanted it to be done and we did the same.

So, what's happening to the site? It stays up unless two things happen. One LK pulls the plug or Two we ask him to pull the plug.

What happens to NTW2? It stays as-is with any modding done to it as unoffical unless a new team comes in with something worthwild to improve it. What happens to the Lordz as a whole? It grows and it fades, like all things. There's some Lordz that still come and say hey to us from 4 years ago or more! Do they do anything? No, but they are still Lordz.

In short, the site, the mods, and the few active Lordz aren't going anywhere. The future on the other hand is unknown. The break between NTW1 and NTW2 was very, very, very long and alot of folks thought the LMC was done. But alas, a bright star on the horizon and a few new fresh faces and NTW2 was born.

It's not that they are "not bothered" but rather that there's nothing to tell.

If someone has something worth pumping into the Nappy genre with another game or some more work on a pre-existing mod then they will be happy to listen. But for right now things are peaceful, and that is good.

Hi Meg,

Good response.

ETW is not far off, I'd say its got to lend itself to some fooling about modding wise. Lets see if the LMC waxes again with probably a new crew getting the best out of ETW.

Regards, Moopere

Isnt it a good idea to recruit new lords if the lords team is dying? Give new life to the team, keeping it official.

I dont think people want to download unofficial mappacks and expansions from non lordz. Everything should go through one organisation: the lordz.

I agree, but if the Lordz do not have the manpower to issue new stuff (maps etc) then does that mean we go without any new maps ?.

If the Lordz don't want to do any further work on ntw2, does that mean no one else should ?.
