I plan an NWG Empire Total War Tournament #1 with the following details, what do you think :

1-) All battles be 2v2 and land battle.

2-) NWG Empire Total War Tournament #1 will have a seperate steam adress here http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napmod and group will be "invite" only.

3-) Teams who want to join the Tournament will mail anklrd@gmail.comwith the following data:
Team Name, Team Players' steam IDs, mail adress of one of the team members IF POSSIBLE in case we cant meet on steam and preferable Team Faction so their " team number " will be sent to them via steam from anklrd@gmail.com.

4-) All team matching and battle results will be announced on http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napmod and http://nwg.freeforums.org/index.php as soon as the "result picture" is received by anklrd@gmail.com, no "result screenshot" will mean "re-match".

5-) Will be max 8 teams for the tournament #1 but may be less than that.

6-) Team Matching will use http://www.random.org/lists/ after randomizing Teams Numbers one after another will match.

7-) After randomizing the first Team Number will host the battle and choose the map (Provence or Bavaria). The "Host Team" will be announced on http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napmod .

Battle Time Limit: Unlimited

8 -) Match times will be arranged among players after they get the matching teams from anklrd, http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napmod chat room or pm over steam can be used. Match times informed to anklrd over steam or mailed to anklrd@gmail.com will be good IF POSSIBLE so announcements can be made and events can be scheduled on group site but not a must. * "result screen .jpeg" have the priority importance. Battles expected to be performed not to exceed 7-10 days after all members learn their opponents from anklrd@gmail.com.

9-) Winner team will post the result to anklrd@gmail.com and a screenshot will be attached. i.e http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq62 ... gnvank.jpg (when the screen appears just hit "PrintScreen" button and paste to a paint program as .jpeg thats all)

10-) If a player quits before the battle ends, his/her team will be disqualified and the other team will win, no result screen .jpeg will be needed.

11-) No spikes and no fixed artillery will be used as the rule.Teams not obeying that rule will be disqualified and the other team will win.

12-) All NWG members are invited to the tournament but the first 8 teams will participate as this will be the first nwg etw tournament #1

13-) All participants must be member of NWG steam community. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/NapWG

* if you cant take screen shots for the result screen, save file(replay) may work but Result JPEG is preferable.

** Please check number 7 above. I can edit that if something different is more suitable, i mean do we play Medium size army most of the time? and any other options you want to mention for battles?

Looks like a lot of work, I wonder if it might be best to delay this, Empire is still less than a week old and many are still trying to work out how things work.

Yes, i give up for now... We cant even set up a proper 2v2 in 1-2 hours. You were right gunner, postponing that will really be better. However i ll keep http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napmod for a possible ETW tournament in the future(or a league?!) ...maybe after some patches everything will be more smooth.

Very good, I think this is the correct thing to do for now, lets hope things get better....also the 4v4 map is hopless, and there are no 3v3 maps.

Maybe we are not so many for a tournament but what about starting a simple league among nwg players who are using Grog's mod?

I personally would still advise hanging back until we get something close to what we are looking for in ETW.
The Grog mod has made improvements, but still there are two extremely serious issues with the game, ARTILLERY and MAPS
And we need something from CA to have any chance of sorting these things out.

I agree, you could set something up as a "test" but I'd wait a bit longer till we know what we're dealing with, and who is going to be using it.

I ll wait for a Napoleonic Mod of etw for a league if possible before LG.

Now this has become a league not only for Etw and its mods but for any Horse and Musket / Napoleonic type MP game or mod (approx time period 1700-1815). Great!

ntw2, Etw, CB, LG ...wah! we ll see how it works.

There is a chance it might work very well indeed if enough people sign up to it and battles happen regually, but if it does not catch on, then we shoud not be to dis-appointed, as this kind of thing is very hard to do.
