Its meant to come with a voice command thing. And a unit model editor. The voice command will probably be a fail and i don't like the idea of a unit editor, because it will mean that we will be having pink British Hussars.
The model editor, if thats what it really is going to be, will allow talented community members to build entirely new unit types with new models, this is a good thing for us historical gamers as it allows us the ultimate flexibility. At the moment the community has been able to produce a vast number of really high quality skins/textures but only within the bounds of the models available ... thus our lancers have lances that are too short and the hat models are too small to allow shakos (for example). A model editor would change this.

Do you think that they will run this game on Staem after some of the steam complaints.
It was a stupid move because only 2% of the worlds population has internet so they only are opening their market to 2% of the world because you need internet to install. What about the people with computers but no internet. Geese, they don't think!
Yep, I think they will and heres why:
- They have written off pirated copies anyway. Steam doesn't affect Pirates as they can use the game without paying and without restriction of any type
- They can offload almost all the work and cost involved in hosting and maintaining patches on their users games. Support costs must be a power of magnitude lower even given that they are presumably paying Steam to manage it for them
- DLC, quick easy and extremely tasty for the software house. Add a few bibs n bobs, 5 bucks and badda-bing-badda-bam you can make US$100K over a single weekend.
- Even when CA and Sega no longer care about the game (about 12 months from now) they will make a regular if small income from sales that come in from Steam
I hate steam with a passion. Its bugs me so much that if it were not for ETW Mods and it being the only game in town (right now) I'd not be using it. However, for folks looking to make an easy buck with very little ongoing and support effort I can fully understand why the different software authors are choosing to use it.
