Anyone interested in joining in please post here, so far we have DougieJ, Air, Grospaul and myself.....if we get a few more in the next few days I woll set about trying to get one or two games set up containing all interested players......

Question: Are you planning to set up multiple 1 v 1 type campaigns or a larger scale team v team campaign. Used something very similar in the past using a different RTS game and found it works very well for large campaigns using two or more teams.

In our case it was two major factions and one minor faction (Greedy devils fought for whoever paid the best ) with a limited starting budget,which if memory serves me was Half of what the major factions had.Enough to defend there territory but little else. made for some interesting backroom intrigue.

We played the map blind,meaning nether side knew where the other side was unless located via recon or stumbled into each other. This of course meant there needed to be an impartial GM to manage the map.

As you may have seen the wiki map is very simple.

I think a 2v2 game should be possible with batlles that result being played 1v1 by either player from each team OR 2v2 battles if they can be arranged and people's pc's can manage them - I'm not sure yet if mine can !.

It would work by each player (1,2,3 and 4) taking it in turn to make a move. So player 1 for team A moves their 4 formations. Team B (if attacked) make their response to that attack and battles are fought if needed. Next player 2 for team B makes their 4 moves etc etc.

I'm open to idea's : would we rather go for seperate 1v1 games or go for a 2v2 game.....please post here which you prefer.

The aim is to get this game started early next week when DougieJ returns from holiday....I'll start and get it ready this week and post progress here.

The wiki players will be Air & Gunner24 with further players added over the next week if required, please post here if interested in being involved with the wiki or playing the battles.

I'm up for it too, though I'm not able to play NTW and would have to act in another capacity (if that's possible - but if not, c'est la vie!)

I will put you (harryink) down for a wiki "Command" that allows others to fight the battles as and when they are due.

That now makes, myself, DougieJ, Air and harrylink for the wiki Command in a 2v2 format - still working on the detail of how this will work, please watch this space for news soon.

Other players for battles might be Moopere, Frog, Grospaul and Paladin. Please post here to correct me if I've got anything wrong.......

Grospaul and Paladin....did you want to get involved on the wiki as well ?, or just the battles ?.

Had any thoughts on how 2v2 games in NTW2 will work? If its say 12k v 8K (a common enough scenario if V4 wiki is anything to go on) how would that pan out in NTW2? 6k+6k v 4k+4k? Or would you make it 12k+12k v 8k + 8k? The latter would be more fun for the players and I'm guessing you could average the results, divide by 2 and get a figure to transfer back to the campaign map?

For the moment, I prefer to focus on battles. When I will (soon, I hope) a bit better at battles, it would be a pleasure to be involved in Wiki.

M, this 2v2 is a real problem, I for one cannot handle (well my pc won't handle it) 2v2 in huge scale and also there is some snags with 2v2 on the wiki I've come across which I don't seem able to resolve.......so, I think it's going to have to be 1v1 battles and a 1v1 on the wiki.

What I'm thinking of doing is two seperate wiki games as follows :

1 g24 v Air
2 DougieJ v Harrylink (with g24 fighting battles for H)

Each of these games will be able to have ANY player play out the battles on a first come first serve basis to represent the different quality of Generals on the field of battle.

For example in the g24 v Air game if there are three battles to be played then whoever gets to play them first will do so (it could be Moopere and Frog) and report the result - with a replay. The only restriction will be a wiki player could not fight a tactical battle against himself......

This will give lots of variety for anyone taking part at the battle level and plently of interest to those making the wiki moves and decisions on fighting or not.....

Watch out for more info as I get this idea firmed up a bit more.

I do realize that along time ago I tried a campaign but didn't take part, but perhaps I would like to again?

Maybe start small with a 1v1 and see how things turn out.

Your very welcome to try it out J, it'ss really best for 1v1 than anything else, but it could be 2v2 or even 3v3 IF players can organise that between themselves - very hard of course !.

As you will see on the how it works page I have now become an "umpire" and will do all site updates after the players give their orders, so there is very little wotk for the players to do.

I would suggest that you and another SVK have a game - I will do all the "umpire" stuff as explained on the how it works page, all you have to do is to give your movement, attack, retreat or fight orders.

Ok, will do. I think Horton and I will play a campaign just the two of us. Prussia(Horton) vs the Dutch(myself).

Right, leave it with me for a few days and I'll get it all set up.
