Hello Folks,

I know most of us are patiently awaiting the return of NBG mod, but in the meantime Darth (of TWC fame) has released a decent mod with truly massive unit size and decent gameplay which is now MP compatible. Get/use the patch pack version and have a better (and bigger!) experience than vanilla.

Cheers, M.

Moopere, some questions:
Being an ETW gamer who have never tried a mod other than NBG  are we talking about DarthMod Empire Commander Edition 2.1 , http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=246153 here?
After we download it, we get back to vanilla by deleting BOTH the pack and the script?...thats all? Do the Darth gamers have a steam group to meet each other?...otherwise how do they find tother mod users?

Played 2 single games with Darths.
So easy to install (just putting the script and the .pack)no need to delete vanilla pack!? and go back to vanilla now. Movements a bit slower but gives the feeling of Corps Battles - great. Lordz maps working for these huge armies, 1v1 and 2v2 battles were fine with medium graphic settings but 3v3 was laggy for me even when i set the graphic to "lower". So with my computer the result was the same as CB, 2v2 is playable but 3v3,4v4 are laggy. Maybe men rout a bit early or i sense that way but on the whole gives a better feeling for MP than the vanilla.

You don't even need the script file if you choose to use the patch pack format darthmod (the one in the archive under MP directory).

In this case you just drop Darthmod.pack into the data directory and off you go! Works fine in MP and gives a nice CB like feel.

Cheers, M.

Righto then men. I'll swap TROM for Darths - hopefully we can meet over the next few days for some big games.

Great!i invited both of you to Darth steam group.

Btw, Moopere Lordz Maps is working with Darth Mod Moopere?
I am a bit anxious about that although i tried it with SP so i didnt inform Darth Fans about that cause of the post on Lordz forum about the maps...
Do other mod users need LMCmapmod_loc.rar with LMCmapmod.rar on their data folder? Works for me without _loc ? and course this post:

Hi Ank.

I'm sorry to say I don't know anything about the localisation files - Gun or Badger will be the source of knowledge on this subject. All I had to add in my MP game against Stru was drop Darthmod.pack into the /data directory - thats it!

Stru and I _did_ have to remove the Lordz maps to get a working MP connection, but we didn't do enough testing to be definitive on this .. perhaps we were running different map packs (who knows?).

Regards, M.

Yesterday we tried to setup a MP game with Frog by removing Lordz maps.
Frog got a message "incompatible" when tried to join the game i hosted...
I think we must all be sure to have the darthmod.pack under "for MP" folder. Other than that i dont know what maybe the reason as we didnt even had the Lordz maps in or maybe DarthMod Empire CAI installed to your comp. Frog?...hmm, i dont think so

Yes, very important that you use the Darths 'patch' pack, which comes in the Darth archive under the 'for MP' folder. If you don't do this you will use the 'mod pack' which won't work for MP.
