Sounds good to me AnkLrd, one small thing, maybe a lower number of wins to get to the different ranks might be better......it will take a long time to win, say 50 battles, that would take a serious amount of game play to get even there.

But then again, you might be right, no point in everyone getting to the top in a few months, or what then ?....lets see what the others think first.

you may be right, 200 seems to be high.

that may be the second choice:(for 100 victory)
1.victory lieutenant (France-Lieutenant)
3.victory Captain (France-Capitaine)
6.victory Major (France-Chef de Bataillon)
10.victory Lieutenant Colonel (France-Major)
15.victory Colonel (France-Lieutenant-Colonel)
21.victory Brigadier (France-Colonel)
30.victory Major General (France-General de Brigade)
42.victory Lieutenant general (France- General de Division)
57.victory General (France - General de Corps)
75.victory (France-general d'armee)
100.victory Field marshal (France- Maréchal)

or kind of?

also maybe based of Total Points that we used for Hall of Fame as a third choice:
5 points lieutenant (France-Lieutenant)
15 points Captain (France-Capitaine)
25 points Major (France-Chef de Bataillon)
35 points Lieutenant Colonel (France-Major)
50 points Colonel (France-Lieutenant-Colonel)
70 points Brigadier (France-Colonel)
90 points Major General (France-General de Brigade)
120 points Lieutenant general (France- General de Division)
150 points General (France - General de Corps)
200 points (France-general d'armee)
300 points Field marshal (France- Maréchal)
?

Well it could be either I guess, I'm not sure, a lot depends on how long the CBL will last, will CB be used after Empire/LG ?. Maybe not.

IF the CBL then gets transferred to Empire or LG the "old" results can be carried over into the new League........or we may have to re-start from ZERO.

For now I would go with the one with the 100 for FM.

yes, we are not sure if LG will have its own scoring or we ll continue with our cbl... to make this one more stable for now i suggest a -League Members Information- table as follows:

Member Nationality / Member Nick / League join date / Team / Email adress

If you all confirm and think that this will be useful for future and make league more serious, i ll prepare the table after i can get the information above from each member.

Hello AnkLrd, I missed you on the NBC chat, I was away on the wiki site !.

Your work looks fantastic, the player information page sounds good to me, EXCEPT, I would NOT add the e-mail address on to that page, I think it's better we use the nwg or NBC site's excellent PM service.

I for one would rather work this way, I find it a lot better than checking e-mails - most of which get deleted without me even looking at them !.

in fact my main view was the "email" as i learned that frog couldnt open nbc pm and after i realised some people dont check their pm s recently. anyway, maybe not needed really...

When you get a PM you should get an e-mail telling you there is a PM waiting for you - maybe it's the way people set up their user accounts, I forget, but I get an e-mail telling me I have a PM.

Informing.
CBLeague Generals; I added "success ratio:victory/total battle" to cbl team table and HOF player charts in case we decide to adopt etw-lg for our league and have to change our pointing system in the future. (i mean not a florin / major-minor faction based pointing system but a simplier-success ratio system) Course i dont suggest any change now but it s just a preparation ;) and now i think it ll be better for players to see not only their total battle nos but their victory numbers also as promotions and awards are related just with victory numbers.

For our cbl:
-Do we have to change its name soon?, for ex. "the league" :?
-Do we all want to see lithuania/united states/ marathas in our league? -Do we have to change faction flags as two periods' flags differ...hmm i dont think so?
-Shall we restrat the league as major factions seem to be changing and we just wont have 5 teams?
yes after 4-5 days we ll see these.

I dont want to be impatient and conclusive yet and hope you ll all understand what i mean but after i see the demo and follow the discussions going on most of the clan sites , realising the large steam community getting ready for the new release, i really changed my mind...the league will be more and more unneeded or i have to say pointless as etw will have many many leagues/competitions on its own over steam.
i offer either just to use CB for wiki campaigns&cbleague and continue with a small cb interested group(and the ones who cant play etw with their current computer and waiting for upgrades) or if you want to include etw to the campaigns (which i am really not interested if i must be honest) we may have a break for the league till napoleonic expansion ,mod of etw or LG release?
Seeing non-napoleonic flags in the league will really kill me. :) Course i am not the one who ll decide about that on my own but just an opinion. Using napoleonic flags for the standings but playing non napoleonic game with 18.century flags seems now odd to me which may be an insane obsession for some of you. That doesnt mean i wont play that game, course i ll if my comp. lets me to (be careful about ottoman guns Image ) ;)
Steam is too powerful and fascinating now uniting with CA wow! these united powers will hypnotize everyone, napoleonic or non napoleonic soon.

Hi Ank,

My opinion is that its still a little bit too early for this type of planning. Its hard to know what creative and useful stuff steam might offer all of us by way of leagues and stuff. I'd prefer to keep a league restricted to a relatively few Napoleonicly inclined folks, not sure if Steam will do this for us or if we will be forced to compete in a whole of ETW community type of league.......

I'd say, give everyone about 2 weeks to come to grips with ETW then lets see where we are. We'll know who can run it and who can't and what the size and shape of the old community is and how its likley to be moulded by the ETW experience.

Regards, M.

Agreed with Moopere here....let the few wiki/CB games continue for those that want to carry them on - for now.

After a few weeks of Empire, it should be clear if the wiki/CB/CBL has a future or not - maybe not I suspect.

I'm 99% sure you will NOT be able to pull anyone away from the standard steam/Empire system to play anything outside that.

The best thing might be to keep the Wiki/CBL as it is for the few people interested in it, to make a change from Empire now and again - if that does take over.

Moopere post edit:

Post and thread fork relating to NWG and Steam split off and send here

http://nwg.freeforums.org/steam-group-for-nwg-t587.html

I think we should discuss this as a separate issue.

Regards, M.
